PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides instruction to assigned students through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Supervises children throughout the day including playgrounds, classrooms, centers, meal times, and special events.
Sets tables with daily activities according to lesson plans and facilitates activity rotation.
Cleans and disinfects tables throughout the day.
Supervises Paraprofessional on a daily basis.
Ensures that program goals and District and program policies and procedures are followed.
Maintains communication between staff, parents, Teachers, and Administration.
Maintains organization and storage of classroom materials and assists students with clean up.
Assists with routine assessments of children's growth in all developmental areas.
Prepares student files in emergency folders and inputs data.
Arranges rooms and furniture to assigned locations.
Sets up wall d cor, bulletin boards and prepares student attendance sheets.
Completes other duties as assigned or required.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Education and
Experience:
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field; AND two (2) year of experience working with preschool aged children; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required License and Certification:
Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification.
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Required Knowledge of:
Early stages of childhood development.
Methods of classroom management.
Principles, practices, and methods of teaching.
District, School Board, and Department policies and procedures.
Required Skills in:
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers and other individuals in contact during the course of work; communicating clearly and concisely.
Operating a personal computer utilizing standard software such as Microsoft Office and some specialized software; functioning standard office equipment.
Managing classroom activities.
Supervising and instructing students.
Developing and implementing lesson plans.
Practicing methods involved in providing quality customer service.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Work is performed in a standard classroom environment.
Required to assist young children in daily living activities including toileting, eating indoor and outdoor play from the floor and from low surfaces.
